Product Description
Alien Black Diamond is a soft co-polyester which offers excellent spin, control and durability due to its manufacturing process. The string is extruded in Austria then sent to America for an intensive heating and stretching process to create a soft outer layer. As a result Black Diamond possesses excellent tension maintenance and is very friendly on the arm. This string will suit intermediate-advanced players who want to get more life out of their string without sacrificing performance.
Product Review
I'm the worst in my team but with the help of this string and WILSON BLX SIX.ONE LITE it is the best combo and i can smash every one I usually hit the ball past the line but with these strings I got lots of spin without even trying best strings ever and looks good (Posted on 20/11/11)

I am a club player who uses an APD.

This string is closely behind Big Banger ALU rough in terms of the power it generates for a poly and is more comfortable.
Its differing factor is its tension maintenance which is marginally better than Big Banger ALU but expect it to shine after 2 weeks use.
I love how the strings don't move. For me its a good string but other strings such as rpm and tour bite are move favourable for my game because I rely on heavy topspin. (Posted on 7/07/11)
Great all round string, loved it!

Strung on a babolat pure drive, at 52lbs, this string played exceptionally well, especially from the back of the court.
I was able to generate a lot of power, without loosing to much feel or control over the ball. I would say generating a little more power than the RPM blast.
Spin production was a great with the Black Diamond. i was able to hit the ball harder, more often, relying on the topspin to bring it down deep into the court.
The string felt soft, and offers more feel than most of the other polyester strings ive used over the years.
Durabilty is probally the products most noticable feature. Been hitting with it for almost 13-15 hours before it breaking. I usually only get a good 8-10 hours with a string before it gives way.
All in all a great string (Posted on 12/06/11)
At first, I was sceptical about this new string. I have to admit, the packaging and strange branding made me feel that this was another “scam” of sorts. However, after play testing this string for a few weeks, I can safely say that I was wrong. The first thing I noticed upon opening the packaging was the smooth texture of the string. It is not textured like Luxilon Alu Power Rough, or Signum Pro Tornado. I strung it in my Head Youtek Radical MP at 53 pounds (I typically string with Spinfire Ignition 1.23 mm at 53 pounds). My initial reaction was towards the feel of the string. It has a nice soft, crisp feel; very comfortable. This string provides plenty of power, without sacrificing control, which really helped out in baseline rallies. I also found spin production very good. Although it is not shaped, this string enabled me to hit with plenty of spin on ground strokes. Serves were also very good; good kick and slice when I needed it and the soft feel added to the control aspect. Volleys were a delight with this string. The soft, crisp feel helped me with drop volleys and when I needed it, I was able to find good depth. Furthermore, this string held tension very well compared to other co-polyester strings on the market. As a note, I found this string to perform best after the tension had lowered slightly. If I were to use this string again, I would probably string it around 3 or 4 pounds lower. Durability is also quite good. After roughly 8 hours of play, notching is starting to become significant. As a result, this may be my new string of choice! Loved it.

Strung in a Microgel Radical Pro @ 54lbs with a syn gut cross.

Recently I've been playing with a multi main and a poly cross, so I expected to come back to the poly main and have a lot of control with a lack of power. Alien Black Diamond showed me otherwise. One of the most powerful poly's I have used to date.
Spin potential wasn't bad, although compared to other polys, especially the newer copolys, there was a bit of spin. I tended to flatten out my shots more with this string as trying to use more spin would often see the ball fly long.
The string's texture seems pretty smooth once strung up. Much like any other rounded poly or copoly string.
Control was average at best for a poly, I would have liked more, there was however ample power which is the trade off of more control.
Durability was fine, no notching after 6 hours of play, with the synthetic cross the durability was always going to depend on that cross.
Overall, the string was pretty average, I would use a poly main to gain control, not power. This isn't a string for me.
