Racquet Summary

The RDS 002 comes in 2 versions. The Tour is a heavier model and offers stability and manueverability in a player oriented package. The 002 is between the 001 and the 003 and offers a nice compromise between the 2.

Brand new racquet by Yonex the RDS Series continues to use the ISOMETRIC square head shape to give it a 10% larger sweet spot than conventional round head shape racquets. Another feature in the RDS racquets is the soft grommets located at the four courners of the frame. These grommets are designed to reduce the shock from any off-centre hits, widening the sweet spot still further.

This racquet also uses Elastic Ti which is the worlds first nano-scale alloy that combines extremely low elasticity and extremely high strength. It was previously thought to be impossible to achieve this with an alloy. Elastic Ti has 44% lower elasticity and 8% higher strength compared to the previous best Titanium alloy. Racquets featuring Elastic Ti will snap-back quicker than conventional racquets to give higher repulsion power with accurate resiliency for improved face stability.
