Product Description
Pro Supex Blue Gear, the newest innovation from Pro Supex has a hexagonal shape for extreme spin. This still has the same great characteristics as Big Ace, but it enables you to put more spin on the ball. Blue Gear is engineered with much less power and a flatter feel when compared to Big Ace which results in increased ball contact time on the stringbed alloys. This means better "torque transference" which is the all important ingredient of spin.
The added rough surface and the shape of this string will bite into the ball. Power is still superb even with the added spin enhancement. This is perfect for the player who likes to play with heavy topspin.
Blue Gear is made in Germany.
We can provide this string so cheaply because we are the official Australian Distributors. We sell Pro Supex direct to the public rather than through "middle men" to save you money!

Our play tester Shaun Hardwick, strung Pro Supex Blue Gear 1.23mm into his Head Liquidmetal Radical at 57lbs. Here is what he had to say about it:
This is probably the most unique poly on the market, with its “gear-shaped” profile. After reading all about it, Blue Gear didn’t disappoint.
There is definitely a break-in period for this string, after about 30 minutes of hitting the string starts to feel a lot better and not so harsh. Being a spin-oriented string it is pretty stiff but gives that really nice crisp feel when slugging away from the baseline. Initially I found my shots dropping a bit short with the added spin and stiffness but corrected it fairly quickly.
The amount of top spin I was able to generate was second to no other string. I use a dense string pattern and was getting extra work on the ball with minimal effort. What I really liked was the extra movement coming from my kick serves. The ball was jumping around like crazy!
My only dislikes about the string is its lack of comfort and power which makes me think this would be a super string in a hybrid, or a full string job at low tension.
However the benefits of the Blue Gear far outweigh the negatives, I don’t think I’ve played with a more spin friendly string (an absolute ball-shredder) and it’s so cheap!
Product Review
I got this string strung at 48 pounds and it is great. You get good spin and power with it and it is pretty durable ( I play 6 time a week and it hasn't broken after 2 weeks) The first time I played with it I got heaps of bite and spin on the ball which felt really good. Recommend this string! (Posted on 18/07/11)

This string is good for a player who is an intermediate to advanced skill level. So far it hasn't broken yet and i'm a fairly hard hitter. It provides plenty of spin and power with out losing too much control. (Posted on 9/10/10)
