Product Description
*Introductory Offer $20 per set" The Poly Spin 3D string with unique co-extruded 3D edges add a new dimension to your game by gripping the ball for added spin and control. But what is Co-extrusion? Co-extrusion has been used in synthetic gut for a while now but is new for polyester strings. The majority of polys are manufactured by extruding one material through a single hole to produce the string. Prince have combined nine strands of poly to build the core, then have finished it with a coating of another polyester. Gauge: 1.27mm
This string utilises Prince's Co-Extrusion process which creates a livelier response with above average power.
Product Review
This string looks absolutely amazing. Even if it played awful, which it doesn't, I think I would still consider buying a reel of it.
Quality
Stringing: This string had a normal amount of coil memory, which was easily managed. It did have a little friction burn along the mains if you pulled it straight across or if you pulled the crosses too fast.
Playability: The string straight off the machine this string offers you excellent spin. The shape of the string really aided me in creating spin, but was worried that it would 'cut' through itself. After I played with the string for a couple of hours, it awards you with power. It seemed the string needed a 'break-in' period before it played its best.
Durability: Unfortunately the strings aren't leaders in the market for durability, but they are by far not the worst for polys. They lasted me about 3 weeks. Which is the same as when I play with Signum Pro Tornado 1.23
Strung on a Head Prestige Pro @ 50lbs (Posted on 8/05/11)
Initial impression: The string looked awesome, in the hand it was obvious that there was going to be a bit of rip on the ball with the triangular profile.

Stringing: Was fairly easy to deal with, as it was cut off a reel there wasn't a great deal of coil memory, it acted just like any other poly string.
When it came to playing, this string was a bit stiffer than most copoly strings I've used. This combined with the triangular profile lead to wicked spin mixed with a ton of control.
Groundstrokes were great, getting a lot of dip on the ball and creating great angles to really move the opponent around. Serving there was a lack of pop which I personally prefer when serving, I felt like I couldn't get my serves deep which was difficult to start a point on the attack. Touch shots and volleys were pretty average for a poly as well, there wasn't as much touch as I would want out of a poly, this meant I was trying to finish points off earlier and tended not to cut off in doubles for an attacking volley.
All in all this is really a string for baseline players who are looking to just move opponents side to side and wear them out each point, without coming in to attack the net.
I am not personally going to use it but would definitely recommend it to someone who would suit it. (Posted on 22/09/10)
I used this string in my Head Youtek Extreme Pros at 52lbs which is my tension of choice.

Power - I felt that Poly Spin 3D was one of the more powerful poly strings that I have used. Compared with my usual string Tecnifibre Black Code, I felt I could generate a much flatter more powerful ball when going on the attack and moving into the court though at times this was a disadvantage of the string as shots I would normally hit away for winners were going long. There was plenty of pop and feel when hitting with this string.
Spin - Due to the triangular shape of the string spin generate was also quite good when whipping through the ball and it was easy to keep groundstrokes in with plenty of spin.
Control - At times I felt control was a bit lacking with Poly Spin 3D, especially when attempting to hit the flat shots it was difficult to keep the ball in the court.
Durability - Durability seems to be an issue with this string, so far I have hit with this string for about 4 hours, and there already is significant notching on the string, but this would come down to the triangular texture of the string.
Overall, I felt this was a quality string with plenty of feel and power and would recommend others to try it! (Posted on 20/09/10)
The Prince 3D was strung in the mains @ 53lbs with Pro Supex Maxim Touch @52lbs. It was clear one could indeed generating more spin with the triangular string, when rallying the ball seemed to jump off the court a bit higher compared to the usual Poly I have in my mains (Luxlion Adrenaline). The slices also seemed to have extra bite, skidding on the synthetic grass courts and I was surprisingly able to hit a drop volley that spun back into the net. The power was pretty decent with the 3D partly because the string was a bit softer compared to the Lux. The String was slightly lacking in feel as I couldn’t seem to get the ball to “pocket” on the strings before it left the racquet, might have been partly due to the lively-ness of the string. When trying the string, I was sceptical that multi cross string would last due to the Triangular Profile of the 3D “digging” into the crosses but the 3D lost most of it playability after 2-3weeks before it could do any major damage to the multi.

Overall this string is an awesome string if you’re looking for more spin in your ground strokes though I’d recommend around a 10% increase in tension, the power was a bit too much for me.

Prince Poly Spin 3d was stung on a Volkl DNX9 54lb. The strings initially felt rough and soft. I have not yet played with any polyester that hasn’t given me tennis elbow pain until now. This softness allows it to play like more durable alternative to a classic hybrid. Another of the strings strengths was the spin I was able to produce. Due to its three sided shaped profile, the string was able to grip the ball, in turn producing decent spin. In saying so, this string doesn’t have quite the same spin capabilities as strings like ALU rough, and Blue Gear. Tension stability was average like all polyesters. I broke the string after 3 and a half weeks, in which did not quite last as long as traditional, Big Banger polyesters which last me close to 5 weeks. (Posted on 20/09/10)
