This oil is used to maintain your stringing machine, keeping it in perfect condition for many years. You should regularly undertake maintenance on your machine. Apply this oil once a month to keep your machine operating in perfect condition.

Utilise this oil by applying it in the following ways:

Tension Head: To help the linear gripper to move more freely, carefully apply a small amount of oil onto the ball bearings. Do not allow any oil to go inside the gripper (area where the string is held) as it will prevent the gripper from being able to hold on to the string.

Base Clamp Tracks : To help the clamps slide more easily, apply some oil to the base tracks. Slide the clamps over the oil several times and then wipe away the excess oil with a cloth. Do not leave any oil on the tracks.

Clamps: Apply the oil to the area where the handle lever meets the clamp. This will help to reduce friction when clamping the string.

Caution: On wind back or manual crank machines, do not use this oil on the gear wheel or gear bar (the track that the wind back mechanism operates on). The best way to clean this bar is to simply brush the dirt away.

Other Maintenance: In addition to utilising this oil, you should clean your clamps (inside the teeth) which can be done with rubbing alcohol and a toothbrush. This should be done regularly, once a day for high volume stringers, or approximately every 20 restrings. You can also wipe away dirt from the column clamps to allow them to move more freely.
